* LT Luke Petitgout, who suffered back spasms in Sunday's victory over the Rams, didn't practice today, but Fassel is hopeful he will be ready for the Cowboys. "Luke is better," Fassel said.
"They tell me he probably will play. Today was kind of an introduction to the Cowboys. Whether he practices tomorrow, I don't know. Any time a back stiffens up you have to get it well completely. You don't want him going back too soon." Petitgout underwent an MRI on Monday. "He has some disk things in his back, but it's nothing dramatic," Fassel said. Asked to specify "disk things," Fassel said, "some irritations in the disk."
Fassel was asked how late he can make a decision on Petitgout's availability for the Dallas game. "Probably about 7 o'clock Monday night," he said. "If he's feeling better and better, I'll go all the way with him. He's a veteran, he's been a player. I think he can do it (play without practicing)."
