Thursday update

The Giants expect to be full strength this Sunday for New York's home opener against New Orleans.

RG Ron Stone is listed as probable with a sprained shoulder he suffered in Kansas City. While Stone said he's still pretty sore, he and Coach Jim Fassel both expect him to play. As for WR Ike Hilliard, he's expected to play, but not start. Fassel said that he plans to come up with a set number of plays for Hilliard to run on Sunday.

"Ike's a pretty tough guy," Fassel said. However, Joe Jurevicius, who played very well in New York's first two games, will continue to start for the foreseeable future. "Joe really stepped up to the plate," Fassel said. "He'll continue to carry the bulk of the load."

On Wednesday, P Rodney Williams was just glad to be alive. Tuesday, Williams flipped his Landrover several times while travelling along the New Jersey Turnpike. While Williams' truck was totalled, he came away unscathed, suffering only a minor concussion. "I'm going to go buy a lottery ticket tonight," Williams smiled.
