The Giants, WFAN, Campbell's Soup and Shop Rite will co-sponsor the event with the goal of collecting 12,000 pounds of food, which would exceed last year's record amount of 10,000 pounds. The Giants have been able to distribute over 40,000 pounds of food to local food banks over the past six years.
The food that is collected this Sunday will be distributed locally to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey (a division of Second Harvest), and the Center for Food Action.
DATE: November 9, 2003
TIME: 11 a.m. - Kick Off (1 p.m.)
LOCATION: Please bring your canned/non-perishable food items to GATES A, B, C or D, or the Stadium Club entrance (between gates C and D), and look for the Shop Rite trucks. Volunteers will be on hand to collect the food.
For more information, please contact the New York Giants Community Relations Department at 201-935-8111.
