Q&A with Donovan McNabb

"The Giants, despite their record, despite some of the things that has happened in the past couple of weeks, are still a good football team."-Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb

Q: How much confidence did you guys get from winning the game here, and is that where you started your run here recently?

A: Confidence wise, we really never had a problem with it. It's pretty much staying consistent on the offensive side when you are able to pick up some big yards running and also throwing the ball, you want to continue to sustain that drive and in doing that, being consistent in all phases of that. That is something that we have been a little shaky with at times. But I think we are getting better and better as the season continues on. The chemistry is definitely starting to develop a little bit better than it was earlier in the year. It's starting to get exciting.

Q: How much are you guys aware of the fact that if you beat the Giants on Sunday, you have pretty much put the nail in their coffin and eliminate them from the playoff race?

A: To be honest, that is really not any of our concern. Only thing that we are focusing on in going out there and being very productive and efficient on the offensive side and in doing that, trying to put points on the board. The Giants, despite their record, despite some of the things that has happened in the past couple of weeks, are still a good football team. I don't know if you guys really write too well about them after what has been happening, but we know that just watching film and knowing those guys, you really can't give those guys any little bit of confidence because they will take full advantage of it.

Q: What was it about their defense that gave your offense problems the last time you played them?

A: We knew what they were going to do. It was just for us again, being consistent and making plays. And that is something we didn't do consistently against the Giants team.

Q: Do you think that (Brian) Westbrook's punt return was any kind of turning point for your season?

A: It was a start. We had been winning before going into that game. Just when we played those guys, that was a big play for us, and something we definitely needed it at that given time. It was just guys stepping up and making big plays.
