Friday Practice Report

Jim Fassel is still mulling whether to make a roster move by 4 p.m. tomorrow. With TE Jeremy Shockey out, he is considering signing tight end Darnell Dinkins to the active roster, a move that would also help the special teams.

Fassel also said Matt Bryant kicked well again in practice today, and he is considering using him against the Eagles. Bryant hasn't played since pulling his hamstring on Oct. 5.

"He's kicked the ball well," Fassel said. "He banged them out here today. I wanted to see him with full 100 percent power on the ball and he did that. He's got good power on the ball now, and he's not sore.

"I'm considering (using Bryant)," Fassel said. "I'm considering using two kickers, I'm considering using one kicker."

* RDE Kenny Holmes visited a doctor to get a second opinion on his knee, which has been sore throughout the season. Asked if Holmes was out of Sunday's game, Fassel said, "not necessarily. It's just sore. It bothers him when he plays and he needs a little rest each week. The longer we go into the season, the harder it is to recover from."

Fassel said no ligament or cartilage tears have been found in the knee.

* WR Ike Hilliard has not practiced all week because of a sore ankle and knee but is expected to play in the game.

"Ike keeps telling me he'll be ready, and I've always believed him," Fassel said. "He's a gamer. I think he'll be ready."
