Tough way to loose a football game. I'm not very happy. We need to be able to manage the offensive side of the ball a lot better than we did in the second half. We got satisfied with field goals. We've got to play better than that and we've got to play smarter. This is a bitter one to swallow.
I don't think we did anything in the second half that was smart. Offensively we can't be satisfied with drives. It was good, it was what we were doing, taking time off the clock, putting drives together, but we can't be satisfied with field goals, when we get the lead on them and everything feels like we're going to own these guys. They just kept fighting and we got stupid with a couple of things and that's how we got beat.
I'm disappointed in the way we lost this thing. We're going to manage some things, and we're going to do some things on one side better. Our fans were outstanding tonight.
Our fans have been good. They hung with us, they were on their feet and cheering, our fans were great, we should have delivered a win to them today.
Sam Garnes - This game is not about stats, it's about winning and losing. Stats are for losers. We lost the game, and that's what it came down to. We had the lead down the stretch and the defense could have held it, we could have held the lead but they made a play. And we've got to stop that. The second week in a row that they made a play, and we've got to stop them.
Will Peterson - We played hard, but we didn't play good enough. We had nine points, but tonight that wasn't enough to win. They made more plays than we did in the fourth quarter. They just wanted it. We've just got to focus on winning and coming back as a team.
Cornelius Griffin - When it came down to crunch time, McNabb started scrambling and we lost contain. When he starts scrambling around like that you can't let him make plays like that or he's going to eventually beat you.
Glenn Parker - They're a great defense and they played hard the second half and we didn't make the adjustments. Somehow we didn't come out the second half as good as we did the first and it cost us the game. We're frustrated and heartbroken, but optimistic because we played two tough games and two tough teams and lost by a total of two points.
Dusty Zeigler - I feel really sorry for our defense. Two weeks in a row they put up a valiant effort and the offense shot ourselves in the foot. You can't get away with getting three points here and three points there. You're not going to win ballgames that way.
The fact is that we lost that game, and there's nothing we can do about that now. We got to come back to work next week; we got another division game next week. It's on the road. We've got no time to feel sorry for ourselves.
I give them credit. They made plays when they had to make them. Stopped our run when we got down in there. We didn't run the ball effectively. Got in deep and we called some plays that they had answers for. But in the end, it comes down to us executing and making plays and tonight we didn't do that.
It seemed like they had the right calls defensively, on the shovel play to Ike they had a couple guys waiting for him. There were things that we didn't do that you need to be able to do down in deep. Run the ball and break it a little bit, it just seemed like we kind of stalemated a little bit once we got in there.
Right now I think we are hurting ourselves, I don't attribute it to luck, good luck or bad luck I attribute it to us no executing and not doing the things that we need to do to be smart and win football games.
I had no clue he was there (on the fumble). I thought I was free and clear. I knew they were blitzing but I thought I had gotten out in enough time that if there was anyone coming I had enough of a head start obviously I didn't.
