"I would say that Jim's doing an unbelievable job of coaching," Strahan said Monday. "The speeches he's given; the messages that he's been sending. He's got everyone with a great attitude. "I was here in the past when we'd tune guys out. That's not the case now at all."
As a result, Strahan said he and his mates are fully confident that they'll be able to turn the season around. "I'm more confident that we'll be able to go up than that we're going to go down," he said. "I knew it would be a tough season, but I didn't expect to be 5-6. But I truly believe that we can win our last five games."
So does Fassel. "You can call me a fool – and it wouldn't be the first time – but I believe that we can win the last five games," Fassel said. "It doesn't really matter who we play the next five games, we have to fix our own problems."
Fassel also said that the team suffered no further injuries against the Raiders and that he expected RDT Keith Hamilton back in the line-up after the bye.
