Q&A with Tom Coughlin

'That is not the way we would hope to play, obviously. We would like to play a little differently than that. But we are coming along with our passing game and our last two-minute drive was a good one. Hopefully, we can adjust to whatever has to be.'

Q: Any news on Ron Dayne?

A: No, but he will be listed as questionable. He still is quite sore and progress is slow. Q: Did he have the battery of tests?

A: Yeah, it just shows the strained muscle with some bleeding.

Q: Will he practice today?

A: We will see what the final verdict is - there will be one more treatment - and if he can do some things, we will do it and if he is not able to do that, then we will keep him out - so the learning is all there, and he doesn't miss any of that, anyway.

Q: Did Kurt Warner have tests on his ankle and knee?

A: He did, yes. He is fine.

Q: Did you see enough of Mike Cloud last week that if you knew going into the game he was your second running back, that he would have a bigger role this week?

A: We certainly saw; we were fortunate in the opportunity to get Mike into the rotation. Would I have had him in an expanded role? I would probably have had him in a more expanded role, yes. He has good versatility and can be used a lot of different ways.

Q: The offense is much better. If you get involved in a shootout with Favre, how would you do?

A: That is not the way we would hope to play, obviously. We would like to play a little differently than that. But we are coming along with our passing game and our last two-minute drive was a good one. Hopefully, we can adjust to whatever has to be.

Q: When you go to a place like Lambeau Field, do you allow yourself to appreciate the history, or do you stay so focused on the game that where you are playing doesn't really matter?

A: Well, I think you recognize the historical significance of Lambeau Field to the National Football League. But by the same token, we go out there as our fourth regular season game and a very, very important game against a very good football team, and that is where our focus will be.
