Giants running out of backers

The Giants might face the unthinkable against the dangerous Eagles on Sunday - having to go into the game without their top two WLBs.

Both Barrett Green (knee/ankle), who practiced on a limited basis on Wednesday, and Nick Greisen, who missed the workout with a sprained ankle, are listed as questionable for Sunday. If neither can play against the Birds, rookie Reggie Torbor, who has been playing backer and defensive end since the loss of Michael Strahan and Keith Washington, is expected to get the nod.

The Giants are also possibly going to be without Gibril Wilson (burner) for a second straight game. Reserve cornerback Terry Cousin started his first ever game as a safety in Wilson's stead last week and fared well.

Reserve safety Jack Brewer remains out with a leg injury and is listed as doubtful.

The news could be considerably worse on center Shaun O'Hara (ankle), who could possibly be out for the remainder of the season. Wayne Lucier will start his fourth game in place of O'Hara Sunday.

Reserve OT Marques Sullivan is questionable with an ankle injury.

Finally on the injury report, running back Derrick Ward missed practice due to a concussion and is questionable for the Eagles game.
