Wide receiver/kickoff returner Willie Ponder was added to the injury list as questionable with a back problem, but he practiced on Friday. Ponder is second in the NFL with a 26.3-yard kickoff return average.
Linebacker Nick Greisen (ankle) and C Shaun O'Hara (ankle) are still listed as questionable, but have had no setbacks in practice and should be ready to go. "They really had a good week, I thought," Coughlin said.
Although Coughlin praised substitute center Wayne Lucier, he said O'Hara's return will make a big difference on the offensive line.
"He gives you so much in terms of his ability to pull and his leadership skills," Coughlin said. "He's been in the middle all of training camp and so on and so forth. Players rely on him for blocking assignments, calls and recognition of the defense so it's a solid factor to have him back in there."
