The Giants already knew that Green would be out for the year, but now the speedy linebacker has a lengthy rehabiltation in front of him. However, Green said he planned to be back for next season. What remains to be seen is whether or not the Giants will have him back...
Tom Coughlin said today that the injured players who missed last week's game will not be available to play Sunday in Cincinnati. They include defensive tackle Norman Hand (gron), guard Chris Snee (glandular infection), wide receiver Jamaar Taylor (quad) and safety Gibril Wilson (burner).
Coughlin was asked if those players are candidates to be placed on injured reserve.
"There's always the hope, and that's the way it's been since the injury became a factor, that we could get them back," Coughlin said. "It becomes a discussion from week to week and with two weeks to go we're still holding out hope. We'll probably stay where we are, but that doesn't mean it's written down."
