Superb deep threat with shifty route moves...Sets up defenders with his head fakes and juking moves...Shows good body control running down the sidelines...Accelerates well coming out of his cuts & has a good sense for openings in the zone…Skilled route runner who changes speeds well...Makes sudden moves after the catch…Very good at going vertical for the ball…Not afraid going for the ball over the middle…The team's elder statesman, he provided guidance and experience to Miami's young, but very talented receiving unit…Very effective slot receiver who can also return kickoffs and punts…Finished his career with 59 receptions for 819 yards (13.9 avg.) and five touchdowns, 11 punt returns for 189 yards (17.2 avg.), including a score and 16 kickoff returns for 395 yards (24.6 avg.).

 

2001 SEASON

Appeared in six games, catching a career-high 19 passes for 240 yards (12.6 avg.), adding 20 yards on four punt returns (5.0 avg.).

Penn State…Had a 15-yard reception.

Pittsburgh…Caught 3 passes for 24 yards.

Troy State…Gained 58 yards on 4 receptions.

Florida State…Caught a pair of passes for 52 yards, including a 34-yarder that set up a third quarter scoring drive.

Washington…Caught 4 passes for a season-high 62 yards.

Virginia Tech…Had a season-high 5 receptions, good for 29 yards.

Nebraska (Rose Bowl)…Closed out his career with a 7-yard catch.

 

2000 SEASON

Earned first-team All-Big East Conference honors as a kickoff return specialist after leading the conference with a 27.0 average (13 returns for 351 yards)...Led the Hurricanes in punt returns average with a 24.1 mark as he covered 169 yards on just seven punt returns...Also caught 12 passes for 181 yards (15.1 avg.) and a touchdown while appearing in every game.

Mc Neese State…Opened the season with 4 receptions for 84 yards, including a 23-yard touchdown and had 2 punt returns for 17 yards.

Rutgers…Returned a kickoff 71 yards, a catch 6 yards and 2 punts 45 yards…Also had a solo tackle.

Boston College…Returned a punt 87 yards for a touchdown in the 52-6 win, spinning out of a tackle on his own 13 and outrunning everyone for the score…Added a 23-yard kickoff return and a pair of catches for 30 yards…Only Kevin Williams (91 vs. Penn State, 1991) had a longer punt return in school history.

Florida State…Gained 98 yards on 4 kickoff returns and 7 yards on a catch.

Louisiana Tech…Returned 3 kickoffs for 72 yards and had a 15-yard reception.

Pittsburgh…Picked up 22 yards on a punt return and 42 yards on 2 kickoff returns…Also had a solo tackle.

Syracuse…Had 2 catches for 35 yards and an assisted tackle.

Temple…Made a pair of solo tackles.

Florida (Sugar Bowl)…Returned 3 kickoffs for 75 yards and set up a score with a 44-yard punt return in the third quarter…Started at flanker, catching 2 passes for 26 yards.

 

1999 SEASON

1998 SEASON

Appeared in every game…Hauled in 12 passes for 146 yards (12.2 avg.) and a pair of touchdowns…Returned three kickoffs for 44 yards (14.7 avg.).

Cincinnati…Caught 3 passes for 20 yards.

Rutgers…Had a 56-yard reception.

West Virginia…Reeled in a 3-yard scoring strike from Scott Covington with 1:37 left in the game on third-and-goal.

Boston College…Came back a week later to record a career-best 5 receptions for 54 yards, including a 10-yard score.

Virginia Tech…Had a season-long 23-yard kickoff return.

 

1997 SEASON

Appeared in every game and started eight contests...Finished fourth on the team with 16 receptions for 252 yards (15.8 avg.) and a pair of touchdowns…Also recorded a pair of solo tackles.

Boston College…Had his first career touchdown catch on a game-winning 21-yard reception on a third-and-18 play in the second overtime period.

Florida State…Made a solo tackle and caught 3 passes for 55 yards.

Arkansas State…Pulled down a 60-yard touchdown bomb from Ryan Clement to cap off a 97-yard drive.

Syracuse…Gained 27 yards on a pair of catches.

HIGH SCHOOL

Super Prep and Dallas Morning News All-American selection as a senior at Carter (Dallas, Tex.) High…Totaled 23 receptions for 486 yards and five touchdowns in just eight games his senior year...Finished his career as the second-leading all-time receiver at Carter... Caught 23 passes for 832 yards and seven touchdowns as a junior...Also tallied 15 carries for 427 yards and two touchdowns during his junior campaign...Earned three letters in track and competed in the National Junior Olympics.
