GIANTS SIGN JACKSON

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Giants today added a versatile player when they signed tight end Tony Jackson, who also played fullback at the University of Iowa.

The 6-2, 266-pound Jackson was the Seattle Seahawks' sixth-round choice in the 2005 NFL Draft. He was released on Sept. 3 and was out of football last season.

At Iowa, Jackson caught 14 passes for 134 yards and two touchdowns. He also had five special teams tackles.

Jackson played at Willow Run High School in Ypsilani, Mich., where he set school records for the shot put and discus throw. He was born July 5, 1982.
