Giants add yet another DT

The Giants made another move to bolster their defensive line, signing on Wednesday veteran defensive tackle Junior Ioane, who has played in 36 career games with five starts.

The 6-4, 331-pound Ioane was originally drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the fourth round (107th pick overall) of the 2000 NFL Draft out of Arizona State. He played three seasons with the Raiders before being waived and then claimed off waivers by the Houston Texans on Sept.7, 2003. He played with the Texans for the last three seasons.

In 2005, Ioane played in 11 games with one start and finished with 27 tackles (13 solo). He missed the final 4 games of the season with a calf injury and was placed on injured reserve on December 20, 2005.

In his six-year career, Ioane has recorded 54 tackles and 1.5 sacks.
