Arrington misses pm workout

Anytime LaVar Arrington misses practice, it's obviously cause for concern. So when the Giants superstar linebacker was sidelined for Wednesday's afternoon session, more than one eyebrow was raised. After practice, Giants coach Tom Coughlin confirmed that Arrington has a case of Achilles' tendinitis and that the Giants just wanted to play it safe.

According to Coughlin, Arrington irritated the injury during an OTA workout on Monday.

It's uncertain whether Arrington will participate in one or both of tomorrow's workouts, but all parties are hopeful that he'll be fine to go during the minicamp's final practice on Friday morning.

Two other free agent newcomers – LB Brandon Short (knee) and FS Will Demps (knee) – also were held to one practice, during the afternoon. Besides that, and nicks and bruises to reserve players like James Butler, who had a kidney injury, Lewis Kelly and Michael Jennings, the Giants had perfect attendance.
