Camp Opens July 24

The New York Giants will be opening their summer training camp on July 24. Some of the draft picks will be signed and ready, but can GM Ernie Accorsi work his magic again to get everyone in on time?

The Giants have already come to an agreement with LB Quincy Monk, and have now come to terms with OT Jeff Hatch, LB Nick Greisen and WR Daryl Jones.

These three new deals are for three year contacts: Hatch for $1.405 million, Jones will get $940,650, and the terms for Griesen were currently unavailable.

Both Rookies and veterans report Wednesday, July 24. Two-a-day practices begin Thursday at 9 a.m.

Morning sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays go from 9-11 a.m. On Tuesdays and Thursdays the morning sessions go from 9:20 a.m. to 10:35 a.m.

All weekday afternoon sessions are 3-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday schedules are TBA.

Practices are open to the public. Admission is free. Parking is $5. Contact the fan hotline (518-442-7369) for daily updates starting Wednesday.

Camp is held at the University at Albany, where the Giants have held camp since they left FDU-Madison in 1995.
