"I can't really lie down that much," Shockey said.
"I get nauseous and sick. I can't sleep much. I feel pretty guilty as it is about not being out there with the team."
It's expected that Shockey, who was more mellow than usual when talking with the media, will probably miss at least the next couple days.
Shockey's buddy Plaxico Burress missed Wednesday's morning session with an ankle injury.
"It's a little sore, that's all," Burress said. "It's nothing to get over-excited about. It just (swelled) up overnight."
"I don't think it's too much," Tom Coughlin said. "He didn't even get started today."
