Camp Comes to a Cose

The Giants concluded training camp today with a two-hour practice. After a quick lunch, the players headed down the New York State Thruway to New Jersey, where they will have a light workout tomorrow and face the Jets Friday night.

"It was a good camp," Tom Coughlin said. "It's a good, solid opportunity for us to spend a lot of time together. It's never perfect, but you make good progress. Overall, I feel good about it. I think our players feel good about it. We're excited to be leaving camp and getting closer to the regular season."

*The following players did not practice and will not play in the Jets game: center Shaun O'Hara (knee), tackle Luke Petitgout (back), offensive lineman Rich Seubert (toe), linebacker Carlos Emmons (burner) and wide receiver Sinorice Moss (quad).

Emmons was examined by doctors in Manhattan today. Moss, who hasn't practiced since July 29, appears close to returning.

"He's been running hard," Coughlin said. "As a matter of fact, I thought he was going to practice today. But for some reason they decided medically they'd wait until Sunday."
