Inside the Injury Report

Emmons is likely one week away from playing for the Giants.

While the Giants list Carlos Emmons as questionable, it's unlikely he'll return to action this Monday night in Dallas. While Emmons has been sidelined with a pectoral injury he suffered during Week Three, Brandon Short has come in and played exceptionally well at weakside linebacker. That makes it very unlikely that the Giants will rush Emmons back onto the field and also raises another interesting question: What will Tim Lewis do once Emmons is fully healthy – insert the ineffective former starter back into the lineup or continue to go with Short, who was New York's best defender on the field last week?

Receiver Amani Toomer was added to the injury list on Thursday as probable with a calf injury. You can bet your bottom dollar that Toomer will be in the starting lineup in Big D.

SS Gibril Wilson, who injured his toe in practice a week ago and missed the Falcons game, is also listed as questionable. It's hard to imagine Wilson missing another game, but Jason Bell filled in very well in his stead last Sunday. Our best guess is that Wilson suits up.

Both WR Sinorice Moss and RB Derrick Ward are listed as doubtful and will almost definitely not play. However, the return of both, who have played one game between them this season, appears to be approaching rapidly.
