In the locker room

Keith Hamilton: "We need to get better, I'm not happy with anything we did tonight. We made some mistakes that cost us. We had a good effort tonight, but we still made some costly mistakes and against a good football team you can't do that."

Will Peterson - We played our hearts out today.  We always want to come away with a win in situations like that.  Unfortunately they got a big play at the end, when they needed it and we didn't make the stop.  When they got that big play they found a hole in the zone.  We were out there playing with a lot of confidence.  There were definitely a lot of positives tonight, but we lost the game and we have to go back and fix things that need to be fixed.

Mike Rosenthal - We need to play smarter football.  We made some costly mistakes at crucial times.  You never really have a moral victory; the bottom line is we lost the game.  We need to rebuild and reload this week.

Amani Toomer - We need to stop making mistakes in the red zone, and capitalize on all our opportunities not just a couple of them.  We score points when we need to but we need to score points when we don't need to.  On the last drive where we needed it, we went and got it.  So it's just a frustrating thing, but it's a big step for us against a team that went to the playoffs last year and it shows that we can compete.  I felt like we let this one slip away.

Matt Bryant - Things went well for me tonight, but I'd give them all back if we could just get the win.  Of course I was a little nervous tonight but that's being human.  The way things were going tonight, I thought it would come down to a field goal.  I was looking forward to the opportunity, to maybe go into overtime.  It's the kickers dream to be given that chance to win a game.  Unfortunately it was their kicker that got the opportunity.

Ike Hilliard - We put together some nice drives here and there, but we didn't finish all of our drives.  We made some mistakes and we turned the ball over.  When things like that happen, you're not going to win in a tight game.  Together as a team we didn't play well enough to win.  We did make some plays, connected on a few things, but we didn't help our defense in the sense of putting more points on the board.

Shaun Williams - I take my hat off to San Francisco, they played a well game.  We came up short, no matter how good we played.  It matters about wins and loses, and we lost today.  We played well, but not well enough to win.  That's the way I look at it.  We've got to get better defensively and shut guys down.  It was on us at the end with two minutes, and we didn't come up for our team and shut them down there.  That's a crucial time, it doesn't matter what you did all game, it matters what you do at the end of the game to get the win.  And their offense drove down and kicked the field goal to win the game.
