In the locker room pt. 2

This is one of those games that comes back to haunt you. You play hard, you play well and you squander a lot of opportunities on both sides of the ball. In some situations you don't play smart when you need to. Training camp is about playing smart, and we didn't do that. It wasn't for the effort. We played well, but those things took us out of field position at times and ended up just giving them just three more points than what we had.- MICHAEL STRAHAN

JASON SEHORN On Terrell Owens in the last drive:

It was just a game of one play. You can't let those things happen.

On being back on the field:

It was nice to be back on the football field. It was as good as I have felt all year. Over the last couple of days, God put some serious healing power in me. It didn't feel like this all year, so that was kind of nice.

WILL ALLEN On shutting down their receivers:

As much as I can say we played well today, when it counted we gave up a big play. They found a hole in our zone, and they made the play. We just have to figure out what went wrong and capitalize on it, and make sure we don't make that mistake again.

On the Giants play:

We have some stuff we can build off of. Some of the mistake and penalties, we have to do away with those things. You won't beat the good teams by making mistakes and committing penalties. I just think we need to watch the film and see what we can take from it.

KERRY COLLINS On what kept you from winning:

Critical mistakes. We had opportunities. We moved the ball great. We have to work on scoring. We have to work on when we get opportunities to get in the endzone. We had a big play called back, we didn't make a fourth-and-one and we had another couple of opportunities in the red zone that we didn't take advantage of. So, just critical mistakes, where if we play a good football team, they are going to come up and bite you in the butt.

On the offensive line:

I thought, for the most part, they held up pretty well. They missed a couple of pickups and they got a little bit of pressure, but I never felt like it was changing the game or they were putting so much that we couldn't do anything. Those guys work hard and I thought they did a pretty good job tonight. We'll come back and work hard this week and we'll get a win next week.

On the last interception:

I was trying to make a play. I think that is one of the better things that I do. I let it rip sometimes, and I don't want to throw interceptions, but you have to have that stinger as a quarterback. And I try to have that. I tried to make a play and it didn't work out. It's not going to hold me up. I am going to keep coming back and keep slinging.

On Amani Toomer:

I can't say enough good things about Amani. He just had a great training camp and a good preseason. The guy has really taken it upon himself to be one of the top receivers in the league. I have developed a good rapport with him and to see him work the way he does gives me a tremendous amount of confidence in him. The guy is going to be a big part of our offense and he was a big part tonight.
