Jared Lorenzen – He went from being in a battle for the backup job to the clear-cut favorite. He'd have to play real lousy down the stretch to lose out on being number two when the season starts.
Anthony Mix – He seems poised to force a very tough decision at the receiver position. While the 10-yard TD grab against the Panthers obviously helped, he's been making about one big play per practice, which helps even more.
Justin Tuck – While TGI might have been the only ones to remember that Tuck can play, now everyone's on his bandwagon. His solid play at LDE is another reason that no one's stressing all the much about Michael Strahan's absence.
Will Demps – No one's hotter right now. From the Carolina game straight through the entire next week of practice Will Demps has been making plays left and right.
Amani Toomer – Was there ever any doubt that number 81 would end up on the hot list before too long? He's played so well you wouldn't even know he was coming off ACL surgery.
Lawrence Tynes – We fully expect him to come out of his funk, but Tynes has been awful of late, and he'd be the first to admit it.
Corey Webster – A combination of nagging injuries and inconsistent play have Webster running with the second team defense. Perhaps it wasn't all Tim Lewis' fault, after all.
Barry Cofield/Fred Robbins – The signing of Manny Wright is further testament that the Giants don't have the utmost of confidence in their starting DT duo.
Craig Dahl – Wow, we know he's a rookie free agent and all, but the Giants jumped right on signing him after the draft. Guess you can't win ‘em all.
Matt Lentz – The reserve interior lineman cannot shotgun snap to save his life and we're not sure why the Giants are even still allowing him to try.
