Game notes: Holmes shelved

RDE Kenny Holmes was limited to only 14 snaps in Dallas. Holmes partially tore the triceps muscle on the back of his right arm during New York's loss in Arizona and will be out at least through the bye week. Doctors have told Holmes, who had to come out of the Dallas game in the second quarter, that his injury requires rest and will take six weeks to heal.

He doesn't think so.

"I'm a fast healer so I hope to be back after the bye," he said.

Holmes said if he risked playing through the pain he could possibly tear the muscle fully, which would put him out of action for an extended period of time. He said it was tough to watch Sunday's big win from the sideline.

"Don't get me wrong, I'm glad we won, but you always want to contribute," Holmes said.
