Burress, with four TDs, has easily been New York's best offensive player as Big Blue has stumbled to an 0-2 start. He injured his ankle early in last week's game against the Packers.
"He was limited (in practice)," Giants coach Tom Coughlin said. "He did some things. He didn't complete the full practice, but he did a few things and we will see. It is going to be one of those deals depending on how he feels on game day."
Wide receiver David Tyree (wrist), linebacker Gerris Wilkinson (knee), cornerback Kevin Dockery (ankle) and quarterback Jared Lorenzen (ankle) are probable.
Running back Brandon Jacobs (knee) and wide receiver Steve Smith (shoulder) have already been ruled out.
