Pierce Returns to Practice

As he promised, MLB Antonio Pierce returned to practice on Friday in anticipation of playing in Detroit on Sunday.

Pierce practiced today after missing the previous two days with a mild concussion.

"He did everything today," Giants coach Tom Coughlin said. "He took every snap."

Asked if he expects Pierce to play Sunday, Coughlin said, "I do."

Running back Derrick Ward (ankle/groin) and wide receiver Steve Smith (scapula/hamstring) have been declared out of the game. Pierce and wide receiver Plaxico Burress (ankle) are officially listed as questionable, but both are expected to play.
