As a result, Whittle, who missed New York's previous contest - Oct. 13 vs. Atlanta - will likely be out for at least another week or so. Whittle is starting his third week of rest, but is still limited by the back injury. His back had been bothering him for several weeks before he further re-injured himself against the Cowboys in Dallas on Oct. 6.
The Giants stated on Monday that they'd know more about their injured players by mid-week, but don't expect to see Whittle - who wasn't even out on the field to watch Monday's workout - in action any time too soon.
In his absence, the Giants will utilize the same starting five they did against the Falcons, with Dusty Zeigler starting in place of Whittle.
