Fassel plans to make changes on offense

"We can't operate like this and expect to be a winning team and move on and compete without putting the ball in the end zone" said head coach Jim Fassel.

Sean Payton is on the hot seat as much as head coach Jim Fassel.

Payton has called the offense since midway through the 1999 season, with mixed results.

Fassel said he was considering changes on offense, with the Giants having scored only one TD in their last two losing efforts. However, he stopped short of saying whether he would take over the play-calling for Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

"It has crossed my mind, but I'm not prepared to make that decision today..." said Fassel adding "We can't operate like this and expect to be a winning team and move on and compete without putting the ball in the end zone".

When asked about QB Kerry Collins, Fassel was clear that he didn't believe Collins performance was a problem, and said he is not going to replace the quarterback.
