WR Carter has surgery

The Giants believe WR Tim Carter will make a complete recovery from the injury he suffered in the road win over Minnesota

Rookie wide receiver Tim Carter had surgery Thursday to repair the torn Achilles' tendon he suffered last Sunday in Minnesota.

The Giants believe he will make a complete recovery because he is young, had no previous tendon problems and the repair of the tendon was successful.

Carter said this week he expects to be running full speed in about five months.
