Shocking developments – Whatever will become of Jeremy Shockey? Well, there's no doubt that number 80 will be camp's number one storyline to follow. Will he show up a happy camper and return to his Pro Bowl level of play? Will the Giants tire of his shenanigans and let him go? Will he decide he'd rathe r hold out and force New York's hand? No one – likely including Shockey – knows what's going to happen in the next month. But it sure bears watching.
Safely Tucked in – Most everyone will be looking to see how Justin Tuck the individual compares to the performance of Michael Strahan last season. But defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo is going to do his best to devise a plan in which all 11 defenders help pick up the slack for Strahan. No single player is going to be able to fill the shoes of a first-ballot Hall-of-Famer. Tuck just needs to play his game and hope Spags puts everyone else in a good position to help out.
Pay day – One would hardly expect Tom Coughlin or Spagnuolo to rest on their laurels. But the fact of the matter is that they both were rewarded very handsomely this offseason. Same goes for players like David Diehl and Chris Snee. And did we mention that Plaxico Burress wants more money as well? It's human nature to pull up ever so slightly after a big pay day. The Giants can't afford for that to happen.
