Injury update

Houston Homecoming. Michael Strahan, who turned 31 on Thursday, needs 50-60 tickets for this weekend's game in Houston, while K Matt Bryant has requested 201 tickets for his homecoming. There are a few Giants who will miss the game against the Texans.

Head Coach Jim Fassel said he does not expect defensive tackle Cornelius Griffin or wide receiver Ron Dixon to play Sunday. Griffin sprained his ankle last week against Washington. Without him, the Giants will be missing both of their starting defensive tackles; Keith Hamilton is out for the season with a torn Achilles' tendon.

Dwight Johnson would start for Griffin. Lance Legree will continue to play Hamilton's spot. Rookie Matt Mitrione would be the backup.

Dixon will miss his second game with a sprained knee.

* Rookie linebacker Nick Greisen practiced for the first time since injuring his foot against Seattle on Sept. 22. Fassel said Greisen probably won't play until next week against Tennessee.
