Hixon dominated the opening quarter, catching two touchdown passes and returning a free kick 82 yards for a TD. For those scoring at home, that's a hat trick in the first quarter alone for one of training camp's best performers.
Hixon showed excellent footwork in staying in bounds on both of his TDs, which went for 11 and 24 yards.
The hits kept coming very early in the second quarter when James Butler picked up a fumble and returned it 95 yards for a 30-3 Giants lead less than 16 minutes into the game.
The Browns? All they did was commit 98 yards of penalties in the first quarter and punt a ball off one of their own players to give the Giants a safety.
Eli Manning turned in a tidy performance by completing four of his seven passes for 52 yards and the two TDs. Sinorice Moss contributed again in the deep passing game. One game after catching a 46-yard pass in Detroit, Moss drew a 53-yard pass interference penalty on Browns DB Eric Wright.
Cleveland tried to get back in the game with two touchdowns of their own before halftime, the second an interception return of an Anthony Wright pass. Wright was absolutely blasted by a blitzing defensive back as he released the ball.
