Mario's Back

It was going to take a lot more than a little stomach ailment to keep Mario Manningham from missing a great opportunity on Sunday against Seattle.

With Plaxico Burress suspended for Sunday's match, Manningham was expected to not only make his NFL debut, but potentially contribute as well.

On Thursday, he returned to practice after suffering a virus that resulted in vomiting.

"He has obviously been affected by it because I don't think he has had a lot to eat," Giants coach Tom Coughlin said. "Not a lot has stayed down. But he practiced pretty well for a guy who hasn't worked."

"I'll be back for Sunday," said Manningham, who was inactive the first three games. "I'm ready to go out there and make plays and help my team win."...

The rest of the Giants' injury report did not change.=2 0Defensive end Jerome McDougle was limited in practice with a knee injury. Cornerbacks R.W. McQuarters (calf) and Terrell Thomas (hamstring) and kicker Lawrence Tynes (knee) practiced fully.
