Injuries - Things looking better for Big Blue

The injury situation is much brighter than it was at this time a week ago.

Although 11 players are still listed on Wednesday's injury report (not including Ron Dixon, who was suspended), the group includes cornerback Will Peterson and linebacker Micheal Barrow, both of whom practiced today and are expected to return after missing last week's game at Washington with concussions.

Cornerback Will Allen (shoulder) is doubtful, but ... "I am still holding out hope for Will," Fassel said. "We'll see as the week goes. It could change."

Linebacker Dhani Jones, who also missed last week's victory over the Redskins, did not practice because of his sprained ankle. "Hopefully he can practice tomorrow," Fassel said. "After two weeks on an ankle, I am not sure I am going to go into the game on Sunday and that will be the first time I see him. I know he wants to play. He thinks he can play."

Safety Shaun Williams did not practice because of back and ankle ailments, but is listed as probable and expects to work tomorrow.
