Collins sets record

Giants QB Kerry Collins has set an NFL record by throwing 1,852 passes...

The Elias Sport Bureau has declared that Kerry Collins' 1,852 consecutive passes thrown for the Giants is an NFL record.

Collins threw every regular-season pass for the Giants from Nov. 21, 1999 - when he relieved Kent Graham and threw the final 21 passes in a game at Washington - until Sunday, when he was relieved in the fourth period by Jesse Palmer.

Ironically, the Giants will face the new leader this week, when they visit Indianapolis. Peyton Manning has assumed the top spot with 581 consecutive passes for the Colts.
