Dixon likely to play

"The encouraging thing was he practiced yesterday, and there wasn't any
swelling," Fassel said. "More than likely I will start him if he's ready to

Dixon said, "I'm just taking it day-by-day. It's a lot better than it was
yesterday, so I'm hoping it continues to get better."

Asked if the playoff game presented a good opportunity for his return, Dixon
said, "It's a great opportunity to come in and contribute, even if it wasn't
a playoff game. I guess this makes it more exciting."

Dixon missed six of the last seven games of the regular season. In the one
game he played, the 32-29 loss to Tennessee on Dec. 1, he caught five passes
for 93 yards, including a 24-yard touchdown.

"It is going to help (getting him back)," quarterback Kerry Collins said.
"Dixon is a guy who was playing well for us when he got hurt. We were asking
him to do a lot. It is nice to be able to get guys back at this time of the
year. Ron is certainly a guy that can help us."

* Everybody on the roster practiced Thursday. "I don't anticipate anybody not
being ready, and that's encouraging," Fassel said.
