Leading the walking wounded was top pick Hakeem Nicks, who was sidelined with a hamstring strain. During Friday evening's practice Nicks turned in his best play of camp, streaking down the middle of the field to collect a David Carr bomb.
Another receiver, David Tyree, was also out of action Saturday. He was slowed with a hip flexor. Shaun O'Hara (triceps), Chris Canty (hamstring) and Barry Cofield rounded out the new list of inactives, who joined the usual suspects Osi Umenyiora, Justin Tuck, Rich Seubert, the two guys on PUP (Michael Boley and Fred Robbins) and Rocky Bernard, who is on the non-football injury list.
The highlight of practice was a tremendously athletic interception turned in by Kenny Phillips, who leapt and outfought Domenik Hixon and came down with the ball. Bryan Kehl also turned in a pick.
Offensive highlights included Mario Manningham burning by DeAndre Wright down the right sideline and Ramses Barden going up to make a very athletic reception in traffic.
Big Blue will be back on the field at 6:05 this evening.
