Fewell to Interview

Bills defensive coordinator Perry Fewell is expected to interview with the Giants for New York's vacant defensive coordinator post on Thursday.

Fewell, who has mostly done a very good job with the Bills defense, finished the season as Buffalo's interim head coach, although it seems very unlikely the Bills plan to keep him in that capacity.

One very interesting twist in Fewell's visit is that Dick Jauron, the man Fewell replaced as Buffalo's head coach, is also believed to be in the running for the vacant Big Blue DC post.

While it doesn't seem likely that the 47-year-old Fewell will be hired he did serve as DBs coach on Tom Coughlin's staff in Jacksonville.

Also, defensive line coach Mike Waufle was dismissed on Wednesday. It was certainly surprising that only Waufle was let go and the other three defensive position coaches - LBs coach Jim Herrmann and DBs coaches Peter Giunta (CBs) and David Merritt (Ss) - are still on staff - for now, at least.
