The reason? Including the Giants, Athletes in Action (AIA) provides chaplaincy services to seven of the local NY/NJ pro sports teams. Some of the funds raised through the Ironman of Golf help to underwrite this aspect of the local AIA work.
In addition, several of the current NY Giants will be on hand to add to the competitive environment of the day. Participants may just find themselves competing in a "Beat the Giant" contest on one of Fiddler's par 3's.
If you or anyone you know has interest in the Ironman of Golf or the Ironman Lite (one less round, same great taste), please check out www.athletesinactionnyc.org for more information.
