JagNation Game Balls

The first-place Jacksonville Jaguars won their second consecutive game as they traveled to Buffalo and took down the Bills, 36-26. We are going to examine the great individual performances on Sunday and award our game balls.

Game ball #1- TE Marcedes Lewis- Lewis continued his assault on opposing end zones as the talented Jaguars tight end scored a pair of touchdowns in his four-catch, 54-yard performance.

Game ball #2- Offensive line- The Jaguars were mostly one-dimensional on offense and they were able to be behind the strength of great line play. Jacksonville averaged 5.4 yards per carry and allowed just two quarterback hits and only two sacks in which the quarterback once ran out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage and once held the ball too long.

Game ball #3- QB David Garrard- For the second consecutive week, Garrard did a solid job of managing the game for the Jags. We give the Jaguars quarterback credit for not coming apart after his first pass attempt was intercepted. Garrard ‘s final stat line looked like this: 16 for 20, for 178 yards, three touchdowns and one interception.

Game ball #4- DE Aaron Kampman- The Jaguars prized free agent acquisition terrorized the Buffalo backfield as he recorded six tackles, two tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and a pair of quarterback hits.

Game ball #5- DT Terrance Knighton- Knighton may be the best DT in the NFL, regardless of whether anyone outside of Jacksonville knows his name. Knighton recorded two tackles, two tackles for loss and a sack.

Game ball #6- K Josh Scobee- Last week's hero connected on all five of his field goal attempts as he will bid for his second consecutive Special Teams Player of the Week award. Scobee remains a perfect 10-10 on field goals this season.

Game ball #7- RB Deji Karim- Seeing his first extended action of his NFL career, Karim backed up starting back Maurice Jones-Drew and gained 70 yards on just 15 carries. Karim also set the Jaguars up in great field position as he averaged better than 36 yards per kickoff return including a 51-yard return to start the second half.
