Jaguars Around The Web

In this edition of Jaguars Around the Web, find out which team likes Justin Durant, which Jaguars are considered amongst the league's worst and how the lockout is affecting the Jaguars in relation to their AFC foes.

Durant High on Lions List

Jaguars linebacker Justin Durant is likely to earn the title, "former Jaguars linebacker Justin Durant." Jacksonville is looking to go in a different direction after the former second-round pick has spent four non-spectacular seasons wearing teal. The free agent to be is apparently high on the Detroit Lions wish list, according to this Fox Sports Detroit report.

Our take: Justin Durant has the potential to be a very good player and perhaps a change of scenery will be just what the doctor ordered. /b>

Harvey and Jones Earn Least Valuable "Honors"

In Bill Barnwell's column, he listed the 25 least valuable players in the NFL. The Jaguars were well represented as former eighth-overall pick defensive end Derrick Harvey (#19) and cornerback David Jones (#7) each made the list.

Our take: It's very likely that Jaguars fans will not see either Harvey or Jones in a game that counts ever again. What's troubling is Barnwell's glaring omission of Don Carey, who could be the worst safety in NFL history. /b>

Jaguars Hamstrung By Lockout

With a rookie quarterback and fairly young roster, the Jaguars need as many offseason reps as possible. They're certainly not alone as division-mate Tennessee is in the same boat with no viable option at quarterback other than first-round pick Jake Locker. Find out about the AFC teams that are affected both positively and negatively by the lockout.

Our take: The Jaguars shouldn't let a limited offseason dupe them into paying quarterback David Garrard another $8 million for yet another .500 campaign.
