Jaguars Report Card

The Jaguars chances of winning in Atlanta were slim, but not many people believed that the game would be over by halftime.

-- Rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert fumbled twice while being sacked by John Abraham and threw an interception.

RUSHING OFFENSE: B -- Maurice Jones-Drew rushed for 112 yards in 17 carries including a 43-yarder that was his longest of the season. But he was also stopped on a 3rd-and-1 carry.

PASS DEFENSE: F -- Their makeshift secondary with three corners injured was no match for Matt Ryan, who passed for 229 yards and three touchdowns. Roddy White caught 10 of his passes and Julio Jones added five more.

RUSH DEFENSE: B -- Michael Turner was held to 61 carries in 19 yards but the Falcons didn't need to run the ball because their passing game was so effective.

SPECIAL TEAMS: C-- A mixed bag as Jarett Dillard muffed a punt that led to a touchdown while Kassim Osgood blocked a punt that Zach Potter scooped up and ran 46 yards for a touchdown.

COACHING: C -- Interim head coach Mel Tucker doesn't have a good hand to play with 27 players on the injured reserve list. The Jaguars were clearly overmatched and the only positive was that the players played hard.
