Murray Not Expected To Sign With Jaguars

It appears that the NFL's leading rusher, DeMarco Murray will not be wearing teal this fall.

The dream of the Jacksonville Jaguars landing the best tight end in free agency and the NFL's leading rusher in one offseason seems to be fleeting.

A Pro Football Talk report is stating that the Jaguars will not be able to land Murray, whose primary wish is to remain in Dallas with the Cowboys.

Of all the positions on the football field, the running back position is one that most teams are hesitant to overpay for and rumors have Murray asking for upwards of $9 million per year.

Although the Jaguars can certainly afford Murray, or anyone else for that matter, it's a bad idea to overpay at the running back position, especially for a guy who has only stayed healthy for one season (contract year).

The Jaguars currently have a backfield of Denard Robinson and Toby Gerhart, and if they don't sign Murray like the report suggests, there is plenty of depth at the position in this year's draft.
