Jaguars Meeting With Greg Jennings

According to a Pro Football Talk report, the Jaguars are set to meet with former Packers and Vikings wide receiver Greg Jennings.

The Jacksonville Jaguars never got the chance to pursue one of their big targets, wide receiver Randall Cobb, who ended up re-signing in Green Bay.

In the hopes to add some veteran leadership to the wide receiving corps, and replace Cecil Shorts, the Jaguars are set to meet with former Packers and Vikings wide receiver Greg Jennings, according to Pro Football Talk.

Jennings left Green Bay for greener pastures before the 2013 season as he landed with the Minnesota Vikings and immediately struggled as he went from the game's best quarterback in Aaron Rodgers to a group of also-rands.

In two years in Minnesota, Jennings caught 137 balls for 1,546 yards with 10 touchdowns. That would have led the Jaguars over that period of time.

Jennings is an accomplished route runner who was clearly made better by Aaron Rodgers, but his Vikings numbers were more than respectable, although it didn't warrant his pricey contract which caused him to be released a few weeks ago.

Jennings had already visited with the Panthers and Dolphins.
