Jags Take FSU Star Rashad Greene In Round 5

The Jaguars selected former FSU star Rashad Greene with their fifth-round pick. Can he get on the field with the Jaguars other young wide receivers?

The Jacksonville Jaguars continued their "southern draft" as they selected Florida State University star wide receiver Rashad Greene.

There's no questioning the value of this pick, but will Greene get a real chance to get on the field?

Last year the Jaguars selected Allen Robinson and Marqise Lee in the second round, to go along with undrafted rookie Allen Hurns. All three contributed at some point during their rookie seasons and it will be difficult for Rashad Greene to find playing time.

The best way for Greene to make an impact is to play in the slot. Aside from prized free agent acquisition Julius Thomas, the Jaguars don't have a player that operates very well in the slot area. Greene didn't play all that much slot at FSU, but he is certainly capable of making tough catches in traffic and he's more quick than he is fast.
