Jags Agree To Terms With 9 Undrafted Rookies

Find out about the Jaguars undrafted rookie team. Can any of these players make the practice squad or the active roster?

Just because a player didn't get selected in the draft, it doesn't mean he has no chance to play in the NFL. The Jacksonville Jaguars came to terms with nine undrafted rookies that will be vying for a spot on the roster or at least the practice squad. We're going to take a look at who they are.

Pos. Player Ht. Wt. Age College

LB Thurston Ambrister 6-3 241 22 Miami (Fla.)

DT Eric Crume 6-0 305 21 Syracuse

RB Corey Grant 5-11 205 23 Auburn

TE Connor Hamlett 6-7 266 23 Oregon State

CB Nick Marshall 6-1 210 22 Auburn

G Chris Reed 6-5 300 22 Minnesota State

LB Matt Robinson 6-3 245 23 Maryland

LB Todd Thomas 6-2 230 24 Pittsburgh

QB Jake Waters 6-1 210 23 Kansas State

It's too soon to handicap who has a real shot to make the roster, but the Jaguars coaching staff had Nick Marshall at the Senior Bowl and apparently liked him enough to give him a shot as an athlete. Marshall nearly won a national title at quarterback for Auburn, but his skill set doesn't translate to being a signal caller on the next level. He held his own while doing drills at cornerback in Mobile and if he were to make the roster he can save a roster spot as a 3rd (emergency) quarterback.
