As a surprise to few outside of the Sanders household, former Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Ace Sanders was not claimed off waivers by any of the other 31 NFL teams.
Sanders production dropped significantly last season after he caught just two more passes (6) than games missed for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy (4).
With Ace down around the league minimum in salary, it wouldn't have cost teams any more than a roster spot on their 90-man roster to take a chance on him.
Does this mean that Sanders NFL career is over?
Never say never, but if teams won't take a chance on him now when he's in football shape, things don't look good for the future. Ace may have to take the CFL or Arena Football route to work himself back into another chance.
