Jags Sign Former FSU Linebacker

With the rash of injuries from Saturday's preseason loss to the Giants, the Jaguars made some roster moves.

The Jacksonville Jaguars today signed third-year linebacker Mister Alexander and rookie offensive lineman Will Corbin. To make room on the roster, the Jaguars waived/injured offensive lineman Brennan Williams and placed wide receiver Arrelious Benn on injured reserve.

Alexander, 6-3, 252, has spent time with Seattle (2015), Dallas (2014) and Tampa Bay (2014) after originally signing as an undrafted rookie with Houston in 2011. Alexander appeared in 14 games for the Texans and totaled 12 tackles in his two seasons (2011-12) with the club. Alexander, who played collegiately at Florida State, also spent time with the Toronto Argonauts in 2013 and is a native of Aldine, Texas.

Corbin, 6-6, 320, was originally signed as an undrafted rookie by Indianapolis on May 26, 2015, before being waived on July 27. Corbin was a three-year starter at Appalachian State and played in 35 games with 20 starts. Corbin, a native of Dunn, N.C., was part of NCAA Division-I FCS playoff teams in 2010, 2011 and 2012.
