Yeldon To Start Season Opener

The Jaguars have made a decision in their backfield.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have answered the last question about their running back competition, naming rookie T.J. Yeldon the starter when the team takes on the Carolina Panthers to open the 2015 NFL season.

In one preseason game, Yeldon ran for 10 yards on eight carries with a touchdown, but showed an ability to catch the ball out of the backfield and was the team's most impressive runner throughout training camp.

It certainly didn't hurt Yeldon's case that he is the highest drafted member of the Jacksonville backfield.

As far as a carry split, that's anyone's guess.  Denard Robinson is expected to get some work as he also had a very strong camp and preseason.
