Jacksonville Jaguars Claim Former USC Trojans LB

The Jacksonville Jaguars made a move on Wednesday as they added former Browns seventh-round pick Hayes Pulard from USC.

From NFL Media:

The Jacksonville Jaguars today signed rookie linebacker Hayes Pullard off of Cleveland’s practice squad and waived fourth-year linebacker James-Michael Johnson.

Hayes, 6-0, 236, was a seventh-round selection (219th overall) by Cleveland in the 2015 NFL Draft. After being released during final cuts, Pullard re-signed to the Browns’ practice squad, where he spent the first seven weeks of season.

A four-year letterman at the University of Southern California, Pullard appeared in 52 career games and was an honorable mention All-Pac-12 selection as a senior in 2014 after leading the team with 95 tackles in 13 games (12 starts). According to the CBA, Hayes must remain on the Jaguars’ 53-man active roster for three weeks.
