The Jaguars have turned to NFL journeyman, Patrick Omameh in place of the injured Luke Joeckel at left guard. Omameh is on his fourth team since entering the league in 2013 and hasn't played two seasons worth of games but has still earned the trust of his QB Blake Bortles.
“I thought he did some good things when he came in last week in London, did some really good stuff. So I have all the confidence in the world in him and then obviously he got an extra week to watch film and prepare and get ready because he’s kind of been bouncing around position-wise.”, said Bortles after Wednesday's practice.
Omameh previously played for the Bears, which makes this weekend's return to Chicago, that much more interesting for the lineman as he gets thrust into the starting gig.
